In February 2016, Ben quit his day job and moved into his music studio. No kitchen. No shower. No money. Just a suitcase full of clothes and a guitar. In the summer of 2016, Ben was selected to be a resident artist at one one of Nashville’s most historic honky tonk’s - Tootsie’s World Famous Orchid Lounge. Still living in Minnesota, Ben would travel to Nashville and stay for weeks at a time - sleeping on couches, floors, or where ever he could rest his head. When Ben wasn’t cutting his teeth in the Broadway Honky Tonks, he would be set up sessions with writers in town, and would go test these songs at one of Nashville’s many writers rounds. In 2017, Ben was introduced by a mutual friend to platinum producer, Matt McVaney (Kane Brown), and they began working together on Ben’s self-titled debut EP. The 4 song EP released February 2018 and was a breakout success. The EP debuted at #1 above Chris Stapleton on the iTunes Country Music Chart and peaked between Ed Sheeran and Eminem at #11 amongst all other genres. The EP charted as one of Billboards top digital downloaded albums the week of its release. As word spread about the EP, Ben was busy writing for his next project. After playing a showcase at Whiskey Jam in Nashville, Ben met Universal Music Publishing writer, Jamie Paulin. Over the next 16 months, Ben and Jamie wrote with Nashville’s top talents. April 2019 Ben met back up with McVaney and went in the studio to record his first full length LP, “Bring Me Home”. In December 2019, Ben partnered with SkyWater Music Group to release the album. SkyWater Music Group is dedicated to MAKING MUSIC WITH A MISSION. “Bring Me Home” will help fund early childhood education programs across the United States. Ben is a member of the Country Music Association and the Midwest Country Music Organization "Bring Me Home” is now available on all platforms.
